This is a message that can be transferred from hospital care and medical environments to our day to day; and that it is very important to combat COVID-19, better known as coronavirus.
Washing your hands may seem commonplace to us, so much so that it is not even necessary to remember or promote. But this is not the case, in a 2015 study by Global Hand Washing they recall that only 24% of the world's population washes their hands with soap and water.
To get an idea of the key role that hand hygiene plays in the prevention of infections: good handwashing prevents up to 40% of infections in the social and health environment and 99% of microorganisms are neutralized in the disinfection of the hands.

Whenever you enter the house after being in public places such as transport, before eating, whenever you enter or leave the bathroom, after coughing and sneezing, when you touch objects such as toys, shoes, etc. you must wash your hands. We should ask children to do it when entering school and we should all do it when entering and leaving our jobs.Wet your hands with water, hot if possible, and add soap.
Rub your hands thoroughly with soap for 15 to 20 seconds. With the children, you can sing a song or count, so those 20 seconds will go by faster. During these 20 seconds, don't forget to turn off the tap!
Rinse your hands well under running water.
Dry your hands with a disposable paper towel or air dryer. If possible, use the paper towel to turn off the water. It is important that you do not touch the tap again.
